From the Desk of the Founder & President of Grace Intercontinental Mission

Every ministry has a beginning, and behind Grace Intercontinental Mission is a remarkable testimony of God’s grace, preservation, and calling Dr. K. Joy David Samuel was born on 18 August 1984 into a God-fearing Christian family of Telugu heritage. He is the son of Pastor K. Aaron and Pastor K. Mary, faithful servants of God who dedicated their lives to advancing the Kingdom of Christ. In obedience to God’s calling, they left their homeland in Andhra Pradesh, India, and settled in Raichur, Karnataka, where they devoted themselves to full-time ministry.
Long before his birth, his parents dedicated him to the service of the Lord, believing that God had a divine purpose for his life. Raised in a ministry-oriented home alongside two sisters who later entered full-time Christian service, he was surrounded by faith, prayer, and sacrificial ministry from an early age.
Unlike the rest of his family, however, Dr. Joy David Samuel chose a different path. Witnessing the financial struggles and personal sacrifices that often accompany ministry, he pursued a career in the corporate sector. From his school days, he worked tirelessly to support himself and ease the burden on his parents, balancing work with his education while persevering through years of hardship and limited rest.
His dedication and determination opened doors to a successful professional career, providing opportunities to work on international projects, travel to several countries, and enjoy many of the accomplishments the world considers success. Yet, despite these achievements, God was preparing him for a far greater purpose.

While travelling overnight to visit his parents, the bus in which he was travelling met with a devastating accident in the early hours of the morning. The vehicle rolled several times off the highway onto rocky terrain, leaving many passengers seriously injured.
By God’s miraculous protection, Dr. Joy David Samuel walked away completely unharmed.
As confusion surrounded the accident scene, some passengers turned their anger toward the driver. Rather than joining them, he stepped forward to protect the driver from being assaulted. It was then that another passenger asked him a question that would forever change the direction of his life.
“Sir, are you a Christian?” When he replied that he was, the man responded,
“Only a Christian would forgive someone who almost cost him his life.”
Those words became the instrument God used to speak directly to his heart.
I completely surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.
Standing amidst the wreckage, he realized that it was neither his abilities, his career, nor his accomplishments that had preserved his life. It was the sovereign hand of God, together with the faithful prayers of his parents that had protected him.
In that sacred moment, he surrendered his life completely to Jesus Christ, recognizing that the Lord had spared his life for His divine purpose. On 3 July 2016, he publicly declared his faith through believer’s baptism by full immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Determined to walk in obedience to God’s calling, Dr. Joy David Samuel gradually laid aside his personal ambitions and embraced the ministry God had prepared for him. In August 2018, he relocated to Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, where he devoted himself to restoring broken lives through the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
From this calling, Grace Intercontinental Mission was established with a clear vision: to proclaim the Gospel, restore lives, equip believers, strengthen the Church, and advance God’s Kingdom among the nations.
Under his leadership, what began as one man’s response to God’s call has grown into a Christ-centered ministry serving across multiple states in India while extending its outreach to nations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. Through evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, Bible training, restoration ministries, rehabilitation initiatives, global missions, and the Victory in Prayer (VIP) Teams, the ministry continues to witness lives transformed by the grace of God.
A significant burden of Dr. Joy David Samuel’s ministry is reaching young people struggling with addiction, brokenness, and hopelessness. He believes that no person is beyond the redeeming power of Jesus Christ and that every life can be restored through the hope of the Gospel.
His life continues to be guided by a simple conviction: whether in seasons of abundance or adversity, his eyes remain fixed on Jesus Christ—the Author and Perfecter of his faith. Success is never measured by position, influence, or accomplishment, but by faithfulness to God’s calling.
Today, Dr. Joy David Samuel continues to preach the Gospel, equip leaders, strengthen churches, restore lives, and mobilize believers to fulfil the Great Commission. His greatest desire is not to build an organization, but to see Christ glorified through transformed lives and communities around the world.
His testimony is ultimately not about surviving an accident or founding a ministry. It is the testimony of a faithful God who rescues, restores, and calls ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for His Kingdom. To God alone be all the glory.
