Why This Project Is Needed
In many rural areas and small cities, poor and destitute families struggle not because they are unwilling to work, but because they lack access to practical skills and opportunities. Without a skill, a person may remain dependent on others even for basic needs. Our skill development projects are designed to provide practical training such as driving, gardening, electrical work, plumbing, and community health skills, helping individuals gain confidence, become useful to their families, and create opportunities for earning a livelihood.
Our goal is to reach one family member at a time and, through that person, strengthen an entire family. When a person learns a practical skill, that knowledge can become a source of income and support for years to come. Even if they do not immediately find a job, these skills can help them handle essential work within their own family, reduce expenses, and solve everyday needs without having to wait for someone else to help. Instead of providing only temporary relief, we want to invest in skills that create lasting opportunity, self-reliance, dignity, and hope for families with very limited resources.
